Strengths

• Composition
• Studio lighting or indoor photographs
• Indoor technique (in studio, with a tripod)

Weaknesses

• Outdoor lighting and technique (without a tripod)
• Editing and integrating layers in photoshop
• Motion. Pictures that involve movement.
• Lighting VARIETY (I'm good at lighting, but I feel like my photographs don't have much light variety).

The two photographs I liked...

I chose this photo because it looks like there was some editing in Photoshop involved which is one of my bigger weaknesses. The composition is successful because the subject is on one of the rule of thirds lines. The lighting works because there is variety within the photograph; the subject is dark (along with the left hand corner of the photograph) but the rest of the photograph is moderately lighter and it creates good contrast for the overall photograph. The subject matter is engaging because it seems like Snow White with a twist and the eye is drawn directly to it because of the contrast.

I chose this photo because it's a stop action photo and there was movement involved. The photographer correctly photographed the motion of the girl spitting and tat is something I have not been able to do yet. The composition is successful because it's in the middle and it kind of makes the viewer feel like THEY are about to be spat on.The lighting works because it is not distracting or taking away from the subject; lighting is not the subject in this photo. The subject matter is engaging because it's wacky, fun, and different which is also something I struggle with.
